FUNCTIONAL WELLBEING

Under standard UKIHCA guidelines, Health Coaches cannot recommend functional lab tests. However, I have earned additional certifications in Hormone Health from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and Functional Lab Testing from the Primal Health Coach Institute, accredited by leading boards such as the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching, Health Coach Alliance, and UK Health Coaches Association. As a functional lab specialist, I can educate clients on lab testing, helping them choose which test is right for them with the support of their healthcare provider.
I can also help guide clients through the testing process, providing education where required. I can review lab results, identify risk factors, recognise patterns and monitor trends in lab results and provide credible sources of information related to your symptoms. These tests can help elevate your coaching journey, giving you more insight into your health. When needed, I collaborate with Functional Practitioners and Nutritionists to ensure I stay within my scope of practice and ensure you gain the most our of your lab results.

Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) can offer a range of benefits for individuals managing their blood sugar levels. We all know that glucose spikes keep your body in a stress response, the higher the spike, the lower the dip and it becomes a vicious cycle. We are all different and so knowing what your body can eat and minimise glucose spikes is valuable knowledge.
This is a small device that can be applied at home.

It is important to note, As a health coach, it is outside my scope to interpret lab results for my clients. I do not analyse lab results, nor do I diagnose or treat clients. I cannot collect or handle a client’s testing specimens. I am not a replacement for a licensed medical professional. However, I can educate clients on lab testing and provide credible sources of information. I can also help guide clients through the testing process and we can use the test results to help inform the plan of action we co-create together. To support my practice and to stay within scope of practice, I work collaboratively with a clients primary healthcare team, Nutritionists and other medical professionals to support my clients health journey.
